When connecting a DP 1.2 Alt mode supported device, the max resolution of HDMI is 4K @ 30 Hz due to bandwidth limitation. For extend mode to work, a computer’s graphics card must support MST technology. Mac computers only support single-extended display with identical content on the two connected monitors. *For MST (Extend Mode) – supports up 4K 3840 X 2160 @ 30 Hz; for SST (Mirror Mode) – supports up to 4K 3840 x 2160 @ 60 Hz.
